First ever photoshoot 18/07/10

The result of my first ever DSLR-shoot ever can be found on my Flickr-account.

All photographs were taken using nothing but ambient lighting (no flash) using a Canon 450D outfitted with a 50mm f/1,8 lens. In retrospect, shooting with no flash in a badly lit environment with dynamic lighting conditions certainly wasn’t the easiest task, as I was more or les forced to open my aperture way up, resulting in high depth of field and frankly some strange out-of-focus shots. Lack of flash also meant having to use slow shutter times, which in turn resulted in motion blur.

Either way, I learned a lot and I’m definitely glad I tried to jump right into party photography instead of shooting easier events first. An adventure in photography unfolds, to be continued for sure!
